6 Times John Cena Quickly Rose Above Injury

2. Triceps Tear (2013)

How Cena gutted out his WWE Championship loss to Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam 2013 is beyond comprehension. Nevermind the fact that it may have been WWE's best match of 2013, the fact that he worked even five minutes with an arm injury that produced the elbow swelling shown above is remarkable. It was estimated publicly that Cena would miss four to six months of action following surgery. As if. By early-October (less than six weeks following the repairs), it was announced that Cena would be facing Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight title at Hell in a Cell, meaning he would only be out of action for a shade over two months. Cena won the title and resumed his full-time schedule immediately.
