6 Ups & 0 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Mar 14)

5. The Profits Prevail

The night's second Dusty Classic match ran for a length of time almost identical to the first. It was over in under four, with the Street Profits announcing to the next round, and while it didn't feature a story beat as strong as Moss and Sabbatelli's impending split, the action was altogether more satisfying.

Aside from Angelo Dawkins, who has seemingly been in WWE developmental forever, the bout's participants are still learning their craft. Each has a rough edge of two, but both teams are bags of fun. They always click with the crowd, and while the Profits and Machinery do rely on shtick to some degree, they're coming along nicely in the ring too.

They worked a brisk back-and-forth format. A fired up Otis Dozovic took a drink from Montez Ford's cup at one point, but it was all business after that, with Heavy Machinery working the double team on Dawkins. Eventually, the burly duo went for the Compactor, but it was cut off, and Ford won the pinfall with a Frog Splash.

It was exactly what you expect from these limited first round ties, and a great way to fill a few minutes of airtime.
