6 Ups & 0 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Mar 21)

Tyler Bate
WWE

Truthfully, WWE have recently only seemed as a*sed with Tyler Bate as he has with them, with a particularly dispiriting loss to Enzo Amore late last year the low point of a year that started on an unimaginable high.

The rot has sadly continued setting in, with an injury removing Bate and partner Trent Seven from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic and a likely spot on the TakeOver: New Orleans card the night before WrestleMania.

As usual, NXT were careful to promote and present the change with requisite levels of information and integrity. Bate's condition was laboured over rather than just brushed pass, with a follow-up speech from Roderick Strong immediately moving the angle forward with a pledge to win the whole thing alongside a mystery partner. Fans wouldn’t be made to wait long to find out who he had in mind.
