6 Ups & 0 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Mar 21)

Pete Dunne is f*cking brilliant and his potential absence from WWE’s WrestleMania weekend programme of events was - up until this week - a total injustice.

Thank goodness, then, for the misfortune of the former man to hold his (almost meaningless) UK Championship gold. Bate’s injury opened the door a crack for ‘The Bruiserweight’, and he predictably smashed it down with another toothy growl.

Pistol Pete now has a chance of shooting himself into one of TakeOver's biggest matches if his makeshift pairing with Roderick Strong can squeeze past Sanity in next week's tournament semi final. With a victory over worthy foes Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, Dunne and Strong advanced in some style. As a match it was tremendous - as a soft launch for a Dunne babyface turn, it was even better. The world is ready to fall in love with the snarling Brummie.
