6 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (April 8)

3. William Regal’s Commentary

Taz Excalibur Ricky Starks William Regal

If there's one thing this fella does know a thing or two about, it's good commentary (no jokes from those who know a bit about his background, please!). William Regal absolutely stormed his guest spot behind the desk on this week's Rampage. Can we have Mr. Regal on comms more often, please?

The way Regal put Bryan Danielson over then shifted gears towards complimenting Trent Beretta was magical stuff. Sir William got nervous whenever Trent was on top, and that really added so much to the match. Big pop for Excalibur suggesting that Bryan is even more menacing than Regal, then William replying: "Yes, yes he is. Don't let the vegan hippie thing fool you".

Tremendous.

Regal picked his spots, and even encouraged the likes of Ricky Starks to get involved and give his thoughts on key moments. This gentlemanly approach made the veteran a blessing to the opening bout's commentary. More of it would be lovely.
