6 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (March 19)

3. Edge Delivers

Friday marked the first time Edge has wrestled a match on SmackDown since the 25 March 2011 episode. Trivia buffs will enjoy learning that he actually worked a young Drew McIntyre on that night, and picked up the win in just over two minutes; safe to say their next bout, if it happens, will be a tad longer.

Edge's match with Jey Uso here was approx four times longer anyway.

The comeback king smashed it - he even hit a top rope hurricanrana for good measure, and sold like a champ for Jey's punishing focus on his mid-section throughout. The predictable finish (an Edge win) isn't annoying either, because it was 100% the right call. Now, Edge can be a factor at Fastlane.

Was this the "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever"? Well, no, but it did feel like a coup for SmackDown to have the 'Rated-R' ex-retiree do his thang in the main event. Hopefully, this quarter hour managed to pop a rating on FOX. Edge deserves that.
