4. Dominik’s Entertaining And Successful Night

It’s hard to fathom that it was just a few short years ago that Dominik Mysterio was perceived as a goofy, clunky nepo baby, a wrestler unjustifiably taking up a roster spot because of his father.

Fast-forward to 2025, and Dirty Dom is consistently one of the most entertaining characters on Raw.

Monday night, Mysterio managed to deliver while pulling double duty and defending his Intercontinental Championship. He even got off a good little barb backstage when Finn Balor was complaining about having to defend the tag titles, first suggesting he didn’t say anything and then saying it was unfair that he has to defend his title all the time.

Dominik’s match against Rusev started slow and was merely decent until the closing moments, when he managed to once again smuggle a ring bell hammer into the ring. He was unable to use it, but he still scored a low blow, 619, and a Frogsplash to retain.

During the battle royal in the main event, AJ Styles tossed Mysterio, but because the referees were distracted breaking up a fight between Judgment Day and Sheamus, they never saw him hit the floor and snuck back inside. And then Dom was one of the last two in the match. Great stuff there with the sneaky villain unabashedly trying to cheat his way to victory at all turns.

Even though the matches aren’t great, he’s become more than serviceable in the ring, and Mysterio excels as a character. Monday was a pretty solid night for him.
