3. Vaquer Gets Back To Ruling The Ring

Stephanie Vaquer is another wrestler who traffics in good matches – it’s her currency with fans.

Sticking the Women’s World Champion in there with Roxanne Perez Monday night was a smart move, with the two women displaying their technical prowess throughout. The first several minutes consisted of nothing but mat wrestling and pin attempts until Perez slapped the champion. After that, all bets were off.

Roxanne targeted Vaquer’s arm, but the Dark Angel managed to neutralize Raquel Rodriguez and drop Perez, picking up the clean win. (It’s a debate-worthy point whether WWE should have definitively given away this match, but Vaquer is still a new champion, so winning good matches right now is probably more important than worrying about saving every big match possible.)

The Judgment Day women attacked, but Nikki Bella ran out to save Stephanie, clearly setting up a tag program between the four.

They also dropped a hint about Bella potentially turning on her, as Nikki told Vaquer backstage that she has a target on her back and “anyone can take you out.” Bella turning heel would make sense here – there aren’t a lot of credible heel women on the Raw roster, and a jealous Nikki out for glory would be a viable challenger after a decent tag run.
