6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 12)

4. Valle Gets Hooked

Powerhouse looked great in his squash win over Louie Valle, who was bloodied up almost from the first bell. Having developed a chip on his shoulder since joining Team Taz, Hobbs crashed into the enhancement talent while he was fixing his kneepads, launched him around with Biel throws and other bombs, before finishing him off to next to no resistance. A fine squash.

Hook was the secondary highlight here, hitting Valle with a gnarly judo throw after Hobbs had launched him to the outside. Taz's kid is already a fun onscreen performer and we've only seen brief flashes of what he can do physically. Following his development is going to be a lot of fun this year, particularly with dad around.
