6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 25)

5. Straight In!

Sammy Guevara Andrade El Idolo
AEW

AEW didn't waste any time on this week's show; Sammy Guevara's and Andrade El Idolo's entrances were cut from the broadcast so that they could get straight to it in their TNT Title showdown. Normally, wrestlers not getting an intro is a negative, but not here.

There's a difference between doing this and say, giving one worker a jobber's entrance. Jumping straight into a match made Rampage feel urgent, which is a great idea. Though the promotion don't need to jumpstart things this way too often, they do get praise for launching this week's episode with some instant energy.

It helped that Sammy vs. Andrade was a fun time.

Wardlow and Nick Comoroto didn't get entrances for their bout either, and neither did Britt Baker or Thunder Rosa before the contract signing segment. AEW weren't in the mood to muck about with entrances here. That's fine so long as they keep it consistent for wrestlers in the same scenario.
