Rampage does not need frequent squashes that gobble up valuable airtime. Powerhouse Hobbs squashing Serpentico was pretty much AEW's way of telling fans watching on catch up to fast forward through it until the next segment. Nothing to see here - move along, people.

Hobbs winning squashes was fine before, but not now. He literally just won the 'Face Of The Revolution' ladder match on Dynamite, and this was how All Elite's writers followed up on that landmark victory?! Seriously? Matches this short don't have a place on Rampage generally, and they're even less pleasing when formatted like this was.

If anything, all Powerhouse had to do was cut a backstage promo about how he plans to come for either Samoa Joe or Wardlow after Revolution. Carting around that goofy-looking brass ring like he's Sonic The f*cking Hedgehog won't do Hobbs any favours either.
