6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Mar 3)

1. Rampage = Zero Hour Hype Tool?

AEW used a fair chunk of minutes on Rampage to hype two matches set for Sunday's pre-show. Both Blackpool Combat Club vs. Dark Order and Mark Briscoe teaming with Lucha Bross vs. Mark Sterling's crew were given a healthy amount of attention.

That was slightly unnecessary.

You've got to question the wisdom of burning so many TV mins on two bouts that really only exists to warm up the live house in San Francisco this weekend. Surely that's what the Countdown portion, which aired after Rampage, was for. No? If not, then why does that even exist?

Some of Revolution's main card matches, like the women's three-way and The Elite vs. House Of Black, needed this TV time way more than anything on Zero Hour. AEW doesn't promote many pay-per-views, so it'd be nice if they used Rampage properly when there's one on.
