6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 20 - Results & Review)

Downs...

2. Subtle Missed Opportunity For AEW

AEW Rampage Tony Khan

Again, this was a really fun and energetic episode of Rampage, but Tony Khan surely missed the chance to hype the show up as something fans should check out every Friday night. Ratings are right in the toilet, so it might've been a solid idea to shout loudly about everything the 'C' show gets right.

Instead, AEW outright failed to mention Rampage's regular time slot once.

The announce trio didn't talk about it, so anyone who only watches Dynamite had no reason to think Rampage (or even Collision for that matter) would be worth the extra time investment from now on. That, people, was a silly move considering Rampage likely played a bigger audience than usual.

Wednesday's follow-on episode whizzed by in a flash, so it would've been smart to have Excalibur, Tony Schiavone or Matt Menard promote Rampage as a lightning fast hour of top wrestling rather than the weekly afterthought it typically is. Gah, if only they'd thought to do this!
