6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 20 - Results & Review)

4. More Top Prep Work

Konosuke Takeshita Rocky Romero
AEW

Rocky Romero was never going to be a realistic threat to Konosuke Takeshita, but Takeshita is such a giving worker that the match was competitive and never less than watchable anyway. There was some lovely selling of the arm by Konosuke throughout, and Excalibur wondered if Swerve Strickland might spot that.

He and Takeshita collide on next week's Dynamite.

Score this one down as another fun effort for this week's Rampage. Romero got plenty of his own offensive work in, but Konosuke was the undoubted star of the segment. All going well, and despite some grumbles about the on/off rankings system AEW might be bored of already, his bout vs. Swerve should be top notch.

The way Takeshita sold a near fall following his sitout Blue Thunder Bomb was banging. Similarly, his facial expressions as Rocky tried some moves from the top turnbuckle really stood out. Konosuke is a star on the rise. Gold is coming for this guy, folks.
