6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 20 - Results & Review)

3. Step In The Right Direction

Ultimately, The Acclaimed's alliance with Bullet Club Gold/the Bang Bang Gang didn't lead to much of note. In fact, it was one of those mediocre unions AEW can be guilty of. Still, at least it does look like there will be something fun on the backend, especially if Max Caster and Anthony Bowens get to cut more serious promos like this.

They delivered a super-strong speech to kick off Rampage.

Before that, All Elite aired a pre-tape showing The Gunns and Jay White mocking everyone from The Acclaimed to Billy Gunn and Darby Allin. That fed into Caster and Bowens well, and they didn't disappoint. There was no awkward rapping from Max here - The Acclaimed were all business and had a bit of edge to them.

Caster set the tone by getting serious, then Bowens showed his own mic skills by vowing to avenge Bullet Club Gold's attack. Fingers crossed this is the first real step back towards something better for the team. They'd deserve that after being mishandled here and there for far too long now.
