6 Ups & 2 Downs From Before The Impact (Feb 16)

4. Acey's Fear

As a match, XXXL vs. Decay's Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus was a fine choice for BTI's debut contest. There was a story to it, and the action itself was alright. Sure, it won't be winning any awards, but it did what it needed to do.

Coming into this, the main aspect of the story was Acey Romero's fear of Rosemary. This came to fruition towards the end of the bout, as the superheavyweight stopped in his tracks as 'The Demon Assassin' entered the ring. Obviously, this led to Taurus taking care of Romero, while Steve planted Larry D with his King Kill 33 top-rope DDT for the inaugural Behind The Impact victory.

XXXL did some good work throughout this match, isolating Crazzy Steve from his corner simply by being larger than he is. Some decent work from Romero saw him perform a legsweep akin to Viscera's spinning heel kick - he didn't really do much moving, but his large frame allowed him to easily knock down the former tag champ.

As mentioned, it wasn't the greatest match of all time, however, it's the exact sort of match you'd expect to see on a B-level show.
