6 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (4 Nov)
Downs...
2. Too Much Kaleb
Kaleb With A K reverted to his old ways last night, becoming the centre of attention when his interaction with the competitors should have been the absolute minimum.
Coming during Madison Rayne's challenge of Mickie James' Knockouts World Title, he got involved on a multitude of occasions. The argument can't be made that he didn't straight out hit Mickie as that doesn't matter here; he got involved when it wasn't needed. When Mickie laid him out, it was a pointless spot that saw Kaleb crash into the ringside steps. It was a mad bump, so props to him for taking it, but was it really needed here?
The match itself was alright. Madison hit a neat ripcord Cutter, while Mickie ultimately won with a top-rope Lou Thesz Press. All fine stuff, but it was overshadowed, sadly. The post-match confrontation between Mickie and her Turning Point challenger Mercedes Martinez couldn't save this; it added nothing to the story. This should have been special, given the history between Mickie and Madison, but it felt more like IMPACT just needed to fill time rather than them caring about said history.
