3. He's Gonna Kill You
Simply good work from Eric Young last night, returning to in-ring competition against Jai Vidal, a local who played the goober role to perfection.
Flanked by Deaner and Joe Doering, Young walked to the ring with a purpose. He was there to hurt someone. You could feel that with every sly movement he made. That he wore an all-white set of gear, a traditionally pure colour, only added to his presence.
He defeated Vidal, naturally. It was treated as a proper squash match, with Jai receiving not a single piece of offense. He was flattened from the offset, eating a Lariat instantaneously. The former World Champion didn't slow down from then on, spurred on by the decent-sized chants for Jai. A Piledriver ultimately ended his night, Vidal bouncing a few feet off the mat as a result. It was a fitting conclusion; the Piledriver should only be used as a full-time match-ender if the executor's character fits the move's mould. Young exemplifies the nature of the move, needless to say, and Vidal's selling made him out to be a legitimate killer. Top-notch work from him, considering it was his maiden voyage on television.
