6 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 7)

Downs...

2. A Hot-Shotted Split

Riddick Moss Tino Sabbatelli
WWE.com

It looks like the Riddick Moss/Tino Sabbatelli partnership may be coming to an end.

The cocky duo showed signs of dissent in last night's match against Heavy Machinery, aggressively tagging each other in and out of the ring. Afterwards, Tino called for help from Moss, but Riddick walked off, leaving his partner at the mercy of the Center Stage crowd, who tormented the former NFL player with chants of "you deserve it."

The duo splitting isn't a problem in and of itself, as they've gained little traction in the division. Regardless, this was a weak set-up. Their disagreement stemmed from nothing at all, as they were firmly in control of the match when they started bickering, and they hadn't even teased a split before this point. This left us with a jarring angle that seemingly came out of nowhere. We have faith in NXT to deliver an effective follow up, but this wasn't the best way to start.
