6. A Walking Weapon Is Coming

Following on from last week’s vignette revealing Madison Rayne’s impending return to Impact Wrestling, a second video package aired on this week’s special episode which unveiled a new wrestler joining the Impact roster – Canada’s Josh Alexander.

This is a fantastic acquisition for Impact. Without a shadow of a doubt, Josh is one of the finest unsigned talents on the independent circuit today, just waiting to receive that big opportunity. Perhaps this is his time. Despite the views of many regarding the current status of Impact in terms of major promotions, there’s no denying the fact they’re still a big company. An opportunity is still an opportunity at the end of the day.

Not only is this excellent news for Josh Alexander, it could also benefit current X Division star Ethan Page. Since the departure of All Ego’s old pal Matt Sydal, he’s been left doing nothing but losing to the more prominent names. He and Alexander are a long-standing team on the indies known as The Monster Mafia – this is what Ethan needs right now to boost himself up in Impact’s rankings. Have them run through The Desi Hit Squad. Everyone else has.
