6 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 30)
1. Farewell Allie
Right, all honesty – the Dark War hasn’t been the best in the past few weeks. This column has repeated the same thing for a number of weeks now. It all came to a climax this week though in the show-closing segment, and what a way to go out.
This had everything. Rosemary saw off several challenges from Father James Mitchell’s goons, and also used a sword to slice up Su Yung’s undead brides (seriously). Kevin Sullivan was revealed as the ruler of the Undead Realm from out of the blue – although, he's one of the most satanic managers in wrestling history, so it makes sense. Once all was said and done, Su Yung accidentally stabbed Allie, resulting in the eventual death of the former Knockouts Champion. What?!
Fair play to the people involved. What a way to end the rivalry. It leaves so many questions going forward. Will Rosemary and Su Yung be taken to court for their murders, or is the Undead Realm like Purge where everything’s legal? One thing that’s for certain is that Allie can never return to Impact now. She’s dead. Unless she comes back from the dead – that’s a common thing in Impact nowadays apparently.
