6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2024

5. Sloppy But Lots Of Fun

Right, this will take a bit of explaining.

Oba Femi defending his North American Title vs. Josh Briggs and Dijak was packed with rougher-than-expected moments. Like the six-woman tag, they tried to do too much (especially for their spot on the card). Unlike the six-woman tag, all three men somehow pulled it together and clicked by the end.

Oba looked like a total beast throughout, and it's impressive guys this size can move the way they do. Bronson Reed and Ivar would've been proud of everyone for this, put it that way. Personally, this writer would prefer them to avoid hitting overdone moves like the Canadian Destroyer, and a bit of restraint generally on the volume of spots would've been nice.

That's nitpicking though. Overall, this three-way was a super-fun watch and a reminder that big lads hurling one another around will always be watchable. At times, this one conjured up memories of Dijak's well-received NXT scorcher vs. Keith Lee. Wonder what he's up to these days?

Ahem.
