4. Naomi Costs Jade Cargill

Your writer actually liked that Jade Cargill vs. Liv Morgan was lengthy and competitive rather than a case of Cargill squashing Liv. Put it like this: Morgan has been a top name for a while now, and Jade is a relative rookie in WWE singles action, so it made more sense to format things this way. Cargill had her working boots on, and Liv pulled more out of Jade than even her best tag bouts alongside Bianca Belair managed.

Naomi showing up to distract then whack Cargill with the title belt she pretty much stole from her was a neat idea too. Seeing heel Naomi feels genuinely fresh, for the record. Some new music wouldn’t go amiss so she doesn't have that babyface-ish 'Feel The Glow' anthem wrecking her menace. However, would anyone trust the folks in charge of these tunes in 2025? This guy wouldn't.

They'll probably produce some painful jingle that misses the point of her character alignment change entirely.

OK, enough whining. Back to the positives. There's a lot of gushing praise to heap on everyone involved in this match then post-match angle. Liv Morgan carried Jade through most of the bout, Cargill looked the best she has a singles worker (and that includes her time as a rookie before making the jump to WWE from AEW), Naomi got her new heel stuff over, and even Raquel Rodriguez gave Morgan able backup from ringside.

Well done, everybody. They got through this without expected flubs, and Jade ate a loss without looking weak. Next stop: Getting Bianca back involved to reveal the next wrinkle to this story.
