Bayley's title reign was nothing to write home about, and oddly peaked before it got properly started when she won the belt from IYO SKY at WrestleMania 40. Still, the babyface needed to get rolling again after losing to Nia Jax at SummerSlam, and she did that vs. Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown. 'Tiffy Time' fanatics shouldn't worry about the result.

Stratton could afford to take a loss like this one.

Besides, Nia was involved by jawing off with the referee when Tiffany had a backslide locked in on Bayley and might've scored the three count. Cole and Graves did well to hammer that home on comms, then Bayley turned the tide to win herself. It was a tidy bit of business from both women (three if you include Jax).

You've gotta love when matches have action, star power and a bit of story thrown in for good measure. Bayley vs. Stratton had all of it. Now, Tiff can bite back at Nia and wonder if she's trying to sabotage her 'cause she fears a MITB cash-in. The plot thickens.
