6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 24)

5. Corbin's Crew Show Solidarity

Ready for the best threesome of your life?

That might not be true (depending on your lifestyle), but it was awesome to see 'King' Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode come out as a united front for their six-man tag. Compare that to the individual entrances The Usos and Roman Reigns got for a second; that had to be deliberate.

Corbin's crew were presented as a full-time trio, whereas family members Reigns, Jimmy and Jey have re-united to fend off a common enemy temporarily. This tiny, easily-missed and subtle nuance helped show solidarity between the heels and display Ziggler and Roode as a pack of hyenas ready to back up a royal the believe in.

They walked in front of Corbin's kingly parade and led the way into battle. The next challenge for the writers is ensuring they don't suddenly forget about this alliance during WrestleMania season hubbub and pretend it never happened. That's an all-too-common problem with WWE booking.
