6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 24)

GUNTHER Butch Pete Dunne

GUNTHER's showdown with Butch was watertight.

The IC Champ was always winning it, but a certain 'Brawling Brute' got to show off more Pete Dunne style, and fans were right into that. Fingers crossed power players were listening behind the curtain, because Dunne's own style is better than the scrappy lil' tantrum machine WWE had in mind for him previously.

Simplicity took centre stage again here. The agent in charge of the match let GUNTHER and Butch do their own thing, and that's the way it should be with these guys - they're talented, could have great matches together in their sleep, and are only going to get better.

Butch could actually be elevated to the level of IC Title challenger if WWE wanted. His facial expressions are excellent, and he just gets how to play sparkling technician who uses those skills to offset any size disadvantages.

It'd be awesome to see him do that vs. GUNTHER on pay-per-view.
