6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 12)

2. Another Good Three-Way

Bobby Lashley, Austin Theory and Sheamus had quite the job following that opener, but they managed to pull it off. No, they didn't have the magical feel of Edge vs. AJ vs. Rey to play with, but they didn't let the pressure get to them either. That's to be admired.

The aforementioned finish (Lashley pinning Theory when Sheamus, who has nothing else going on, was involved) still smacks yours truly as a strange decision. On the plus side, Austin got to act like an entitled little pr*ck, and WWE teased more to come between Bobby and Sheamus.

They kicked lumps out of each other.

Lashley advancing to wrestle Styles in the main event was the right call as well. That'll be handy if he's going to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at some point between now-SummerSlam. The fact he just came up short vs. AJ is something Roman can use to taunt Bobby with too.
