6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 13)

Butch looked smashing against Xavier Woods in an underrated gem of a match on the 22 April edition of SmackDown. Nobody who watched Pete Dunne's work on NXT will be surprised that he's thriving in-ring, but nothing is a given on WWE's main roster these days.

Good news: Butch did it again on Friday night.

He actually had an even better match with Kofi Kingston than Kof's New Day partner. Better yet, due to all the hubbub going on around ringside with Woods, Sheamus and Ridge Holland, Butch actually got to pick up a win. More of this, please.

WWE are trying their best to portray lil' Butch as an unpredictable scrapper who catches opponents by surprise. That's hardly the worst idea ever, and it's a decent spot for Dunne to be in on SmackDown. Now, fingers crossed the writers follow up on this.
