6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 24 - Results & Review)
Ups...
6. A Decent Opener
Going in, it felt like The Street Profits had a shot at winning gold on SmackDown. A case could've been made for WWE shockingly taking the belts from Finn Bálor and Damian Priest going into WarGames, but no - the promotion decided to keep them on Judgment Day.
Fair enough.
That's fine, but questions will be asked about where Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins go from here. WWE needs to move past this idea that The Profits aren't cutting it for Bobby Lashley, because that's getting old already and the pair are clearly f*cking dynamite inside the ring. One killer storyline/feud is all they need to make this heel turn soar.
A singles bout between Ford and Bálor would be welcome in the future too. They're slick as all hell together, and there does seem to still be value in a Montez solo run at some point. For now, this was a much-needed title bout on SmackDown, and a bloody fun one.
