6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 22 - Results & Review)

1. It’s Too Early For Friction

Sure, everyone gets that creative wants to tell a story here with Bobby Lashley morphing The Street Profits into what he wants them to be, but that dissension on SmackDown was totally out of the blue. These dudes have spent weeks/months on the same page and presenting themselves as a united force.

That's why Lashley tearing strips off his charges was jarring.

Also, this guy ain't so sure Bobby yelling at Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins to beat it back to catering quite sells them as a must-see unit. The match with Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar was perfectly fine, at least, but this wishy-washy teased split story is coming far too early in the narrative.

This is a honeymoon period for Lashley and The Profits. Or, it should be. Instead, they seem to be working the same old dissension story without any real need for it. Man, fingers crossed this actually leads to something and gets the Ford/Dawkins combo over as heels.

Not a banner moment.
