6 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (Dec 9 - Results & Review)
2. Montreal Shows Plenty Of Love For Daddy Magic And Cool Hand Ang
Would it have hurt to give Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ang the win here in front of a passionate Montreal crowd? Given how he's been used in AEW and ROH so far, Komander could've easily eaten the pin and let these Canadians bask in victory in their home province of Quebec.
Still, it was at least great to see Matt Menard and Angelo Parker get to have what was clearly an emotional moment for them in front of their friends and family.
Menard and Parker are good dudes who've long busted their backsides in this industry, criminally cast aside by WWE despite making the most of every scrap they were given by the market leader. Despite not being used as featured players, per se, in AEW, the duo have still made for a ridiculously entertaining presence whenever they're on screen. So, getting to see good guys reap the rewards of this Quebec reaction was brilliant to watch.
A shooting star press and piledriver was enough to get the win for Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander, and the match itself was fine for what it was; several high-energy crowd-popping spots for a rampant crowd.
