6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Collision (March 16 - Results & Review)

4. Daniel Garcia Continues Bouncing Back

There's nothing wrong with a tidy little TV match like Daniel Garcia vs. Lee Moriarty every so often, especially when it's part of an overarching narrative like the one surrounding Garcia. He's desperate to become a champion in AEW someday, and isn't shy about plugging away to climb the rankings after coming close then being knocked back down.

His win was short, punchy and to-the-point.

Both guys packed a lot into a relatively short space of time too. Garcia is never going to be the kind of worker who physically overwhelms opponents and smothers them Miro/Powerhouse Hobbs style, so it's perfectly fine if he takes a kicking for a few mins here or there during showcase wins designed to shine him up.

Credit must go to Matt Menard for guesting in on comms and doing everything in his power to put Daniel over as someone who has hunger in his heart. That'll help, and it's always cool to hear 'Daddy Magic' behind the desk anyway. He's starting to carve out a post-ring career for himself there.
