6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (November 1 - Results & Review)

2. Full Gear Match Made

Christian Cage Luchasaurus
AEW

Already, the folly of the expanded pay-per-view schedule is beginning to realise itself. Jon Moxley Vs. Orange Cassidy 2 and Hangman Page Vs. Swerve Strickland 2 are both set for Full Gear, which is good in a fairly uninspiring way. This is what happens when you're down on the content farm.

On a happier note, a fun attraction was set in Adam Copeland, Sting & Darby Allin Vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. Even though almost literally everything in AEW feels like an early WWF Survivor Series show these days, in a cack-handed and lazy attempt to get everybody on the roster involved, this specific prospect is exciting.

As ever, this was all elevated by Christian Cage and his intoxicating heel work. He's just a remorseless, nasty individual, and he furthered this arc by interrupting Copeland's promo and threatening to break his neck. The image Cage conjured of a helpless, decimated Copeland was grotesque.

Cage really is in the form of his life.
