6 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Nov 28)
1. WWE Logic
None of last night's shortcomings were show-ruiners, but each played a role in dragging down a largely excellent offering from the blue brand, with Shane McMahon's nonsensical main event stipulation the dirt worst.
Banning Sami Zayn from ringside was a smart idea, but SmackDown's Commissioner undid this by adding a 'No DQ' stipulation in his very next breath. Thus, Zayn had absolutely no reason to obey the first ruling. His partner couldn't be disqualified through interference, as McMahon's confused idea of punishment had taken that out of play, meaning Sami had no reason not to get involved the match.
You'll drive yourself insane trying to apply logic to WWE storytelling. Shane was clearly attempting to hinder Zayn and Owens, but inadvertently helped them with this alteration to KO's match with Randy Orton, effectively handing them victory on a plate. What part of that is supposed to make sense exactly?
