6 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (11 Sept)

1. The NXT Step

Cameron Grimes

Cameron Grimes' character felt out of juice from the off last week, which was a gentle disappointment considering his impressive showings in the Breakout Tournament last month.

This singles showcase against Raul Mendoza didn't do a great deal to improve upon it.

Full Sail University popped more for Mendoza's high spots in his failed comeback than they did boo, or gasp, or anything for Grimes' inevitable comeback. One of those challenging occasions where the wrong person steals the profile

Saving his best for last, Grimes does have a leaping double stomp finisher in his arsenal that will need to carry him until the brand finds a way to harness his "gnarly" quality.
