6 Ups & 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver In Your House 2021

2. The Wrong Winner

LA Knight Ted DiBiase

Why?!

Sorry, but Cameron Grimes winning that Million Dollar Title would've been infinitely more fun than LA Knight grabbing the belt. Perhaps they wanted to book a swerve here, or maybe someone backstage is really high on Knight. Or...did Vinnie Mac pop up, take one look at both guys and deem LA his pick?

Knight is the body dude of the pair, but Grimes has been a riot on NXT for a long time now. He genuinely deserved a big time moment that rewarded all his efforts - Cam has worked miracles with his current gimmick, and it kind of sucks to see that ignored so that WWE can slap a title on someone else.

LA has an air of Ted DiBiase JR in 2011 about him, which isn't promising. Here's hoping this isn't the end of the story; Ted (the older version) could accidentally cost Knight that classic championship down the road, and NXT's writers would be fools not to think about it.
