6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2022

3. KO Carries Elias… Er, Ezekiel

You might have thought that Ezekiel would have picked up the win in his first PLE match, but it wasn’t to be. Still, that didn’t mean that the experiment wasn’t a success.

Kevin Owens carried Ezekiel to a solid match at Hell in a Cell, besting Elias’ younger brother but giving him plenty of offense. There was a fair amount of high-impact action from both men, but it was KO’s mouth that was highly entertaining, with Owens insisting repeatedly, “That’s Elias!”

The best part? The fans started a few “Zeke!” chants to really put Owens on edge. Ezekiel fired up a couple of times, including a nice moment at the outset where he hit a jumping knee and elbow drop for a near-fall, and toward the end when he hit the knee again, but KO crotched him, hit a pair of superkicks, nailed a cannonball, and put him away with a Stunner.

Owens probably needed the win more than Ezekiel, who would probably benefit from being in a tag team more than anything right now. He got a good PLE match here, but that was due to his dance partner.
