6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (30 Sept - Results & Review)

2. More Of The Same

WWE Raw Judgment Day Damian Priest
WWE

On Saturday, the two grudge matches involving current and former members of the Judgment Day will most likely be very good.

Finn Balor versus Damian Priest should slap, while the Women’s World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan should be cathartic and entertaining as all hell, particularly with a claustrophobic Dominik Mysterio suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

Monday’s go-home angle featured the Judgment Day cutting their promos about how they were going to win to silence the Terror Twins and prove they were the weak links in the group. This drew Ripley out, who provided the nugget about Dom being claustrophobic while distracting the group from an attacking Priest.

Everything broke down, leading to Rhea getting a few licks on Mysterio before Liv brawled with her. Meanwhile, the men ganged up on Damian, allowing Balor to repeatedly stomp him with three Coup de Graces… again.

It’s understandable that the two groups that are contributing 40% of the card for Bad Blood should get some airtime, but no new ground was really broken Monday night. In fact, parts of it – such as the Priest beatdown and Morgan talking about how she stole Dominik and Ripley’s title – felt like a rerun of previous weeks. They could have aired a video package summarizing the feuds and most of this content would have been present from previous weeks.
