4. Demolition Derby

The Last Monster Standing match between Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman promised two things: chaos and destruction. Given everything that has happened with these two monsters the past several weeks, this seemed like a layup, and they delivered on Monday.

Strowman crumpled the announce desk just minutes into the match by chokeslamming Reed through it, setting the tone for the rest of the match as they meandered around the ringside area and up the ramp into the tech area, using chairs, breaking more tables, barreling through barricades, and wielding steps until they ended up back in the ring for the inevitable climax.

Two Tsunami splashes should have put Braun away, but the referee was distracted tending to injured “fans” at ringside, allowing Strowman to recover and dive onto a pile of security as the chaos continued to peak, right up until Reed superplexed Strowman, predictably breaking the ring.

What wasn’t entirely predictable was how the match ended. Seth Rollins made his return and got revenge on Reed, stomping his head on the ring steps as Bronson tried to beat the count to his feet. That gave Strowman the win (maintaining his undefeated record in Last Man Standing matches) and setting up the feud between Rollins and Reed.

It was far from a classic, but it was good fun to close out the show.
