2. Strap In For A Rough Ride

Triple H clearly wants to see if Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews will work as a tag-team the same way Corbin and Bron Breakker did on NXT. Fair enough, and at least they're trying to give these lads something to do, but...Crews is one of the most painfully dull characters on the roster in 2024. He has zero personality to speak of other than 'smiling babyface', and the lacklustre reception he got in Glasgow reflected that.

It'll take a lot of work from Corbs to drag him out of this hole.

The actual match Crews had vs. Santos Escobar was decent, but the bigger story (by far) is Baron's involvement. Maybe things will pick up, and everyone deserves a chance to make the best of creative, but it's genuinely hard to get excited for anything Apollo does these days. Most probs expect WWE to lose interest all over again fairly quickly.

It's unclear exactly where Legado del Fantasma is headed too. They've gone from feuding with Rey Mysterio and the LWO to going after workers who aren't even a threat like Crews. More will be needed if Santos is going to fulfil his potential during the second half of the year.
