6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 15 - Results & Review)

1. Why, AJ, Why?!

Nah, this fan has zero clue why AJ Styles attacked LA Knight after helping fend off The Bloodline either, but he is intrigued. WWE will surely answer that question soon enough anyway. Let's hope it's a worthy explanation from Styles that pushes his compelling new direction forwards.

Fingers and toes crossed, everyone.

AJ looked positively jacked here, and he'll be motivated to put himself in the frame for a decent spot come WrestleMania. Bonus points go to Randy Orton for refusing to get involved and just shrugging his shoulders at AJ's surprise ambush on Knight - why would Orton go to bat for LA when he's made a point of saying he barely even knows the guy?

There's always a chance this was a hasty cliffhanger conclusion for the sake of it. Hopefully not. If creative gives AJ some justification for his actions, then has Knight get fired up in response, then WWE could strike it lucky and successfully push Styles towards another heel run deep into his iconic career.
