6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 15 - Results & Review)
1. Something Is Still Missing
Not everyone will agree with this, which is fair enough.
It's also hard to put one's finger on it, but there's an odd lack of oomph to the idea of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens working vs. Logan Paul at WrestleMania. Maybe it's the lack of any beef between the babyfaces (those RKO teases don't count). Or perhaps it's dummy spitting because Randy vs. Logan in a singles sounded so fun.
Orton going through the motions is still better than most workers, but his match vs. Grayson Waller on SmackDown was missing some spark too. Waller and Austin Theory have become second-rate players as a team, and the way WWE has just continued their dull rivalry with KO by now including Randy is lame.
Nick Aldis angered Paul by revealing that he'll have two challengers at 'Mania. The live crowd popped for the announcement, but this fan can't shake thoughts that Orton vs. LP in a one-on-one match felt grander. Owens is third wheeling hard here, and that's true despite his legit claims to a title rematch following Royal Rumble.
