6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 15 - Results & Review)

2. That Closing Match-Come-Angle

Arguably, it'd be nice to see more focus on IYO SKY vs. Bayley without all the bells and whistles, but it's also understandable why Triple H is handling things the way he is. Bayley created Damage CTRL, so it makes sense that she's also feuding with women like Dakota Kai (an original member) and the Kabuki Warriors (additions she didn't sign off on) too.

SmackDown's main event between Bayley and Dakota was mere setup for a beatdown angle that saw IYO hesitate with the belt and CTRL hammer their former leader. Chants for Bianca Belair would've got smiles behind the curtain as well, because she was never coming to help her old rival after last week's heelish promo.

Things couldn't have played out better for WWE.

Bayley's slow burn face turn has been masterful, and the way CTRL has swarmed her makes things even more impressive. Now, a few more standoffs between IYO and her challenger before 'Mania 40 would proper up the ante further. Bring it on! There's still time.
