6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 8 - Results & Review)
1. Yikes! A Little Rough!
Logan Paul obviously has charisma, but he struggles slightly when asked to carry a lengthier in-ring promo on his own. Besides, his show-opening speech was a thinly-veiled advertisement for Prime energy and little else. Paul announced that Prime will grace the mats on WWE PLEs starting with WrestleMania 40.
Erm...great?
Compare this to show-openers from The Bloodline over the past while. It can't compete. Logan lost the live crowd when he started droning on about energy drinks, and not even an appearance from good pal KSI could up the ante. Seeing Randy Orton hit KSI with an RKO then sort of endorse Prime by taking a sip missed the mark too.
The segment was kinda rough and unwanted, to tell the truth. It existed solely so WWE could tout that a graphic of Prime will be splashed across the canvas on supershows going forwards. That could've been in a press release, not a TV promo.
