6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 1)

1. Pure Spotlight For Jimmy Uso

Yours truly saw some folks online say John Cena "buried" Jimmy Uso here. Nah! Cena is a bigger star now than he was during his full-time WWE peak due to acting roles, so sharing the stage with him at any point is a plus not a negative.

Also, Jimmy made the most of it. He likened JC to Bloodline boss Roman Reigns, and scrambled to argue, rant and rave about his brother's absence. Firing back, Cena suggested the wrong Uso quit the company, and not-so-gently needled Jimmy for having the cheek to interrupt his comeback.

The opening skit felt big time, which is all one can really ask.

Jimmy linking Cena's latest return in with Roman's part-time schedule was a neat touch, and it absolutely isn't a problem that John blasted him with an Attitude Adjustment either. This wasn't some big league moment from JC - he was sharing the spotlight!
