6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 23)

2. Liv Morgan Is Extreme

WWE laughed in the face of subtlety by having Michael Cole and Corey Graves call Liv Morgan "extreme" around 300 times in a 10-minute segment. Then, as if to hammer home a point that was already laboured, Morgan attacked Lacey Evans with a dual kendo stick/table bump attack post-match.

SHE'S EXTREME!

In reality, Liv's babyface title reign remains a struggle. It's been on life support since SummerSlam, being honest, and nothing creative tries seems to be working. Maybe the heel-ishness of her comments to Ronda Rousey and this ill-deserved kicking for Lacey are deliberate, but that's conjecture.

There wasn't much to the actual match itself (it was one of those standard back-and-forth TV bouts fans could agent in their sleep), and the whole "Liv is extreme" thing felt very forced. Honestly, it'd probs be best if Ronda just won the belt back at Extreme Rules.
