6 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Oct 7 - Results & Review)

It would be great to have one week where the AEW women's division doesn't land on the Downs side of these articles. Well, technically there was one week - where Kris Statlander retained the TBS Title against Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. - but again the company's women were given short shrift in their usual way on Collision.

To highlight the numbers once more, this two-hour Collision broadcast featured just one women's match, which clocked in at just over eight minutes. Of those eight minutes, three of them were spent in a picture-in-picture commercial.

What will it take for Collision to feature maybe two women's bouts? How about another 15-minute battle between two major names? Or an appearance from the AEW Women's Champion? Clearly, the frustrating use - or lack thereof - of the promotion's female talent is nothing new and nothing exclusive to Collision, but this continues to just be absolutely baffling.

As for the match between Toni Storm and Kiera Hogan, it was fine for what it was. Hogan looked good on offense, Storm is always great, but there were a few spots were the timing was a smidge off. And speaking of time, there were several points where you could audibly hear referee Mike Posey giving the two wrestlers time cues.
