6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 10)

Downs...

4. Lucha Brothers vs. Ashton Starr & David Ali

Lucha Brothers Ashton Starr David Ali

This was a typical Dark match in many ways. The action and exchanges were fine as the Lucha Brothers absorbed a few slithers of offense en route to victory, though its rudimentary nature makes it tough to recommend.

It's disappointing that Penta and Fenix opted against doing something more interesting with this. They're wrestling each other on Dynamite and Eddie Kingston threatens to be a wedge between them, so the duo could have either built on that here, building on the idea that their tag chemistry isn't right at the moment, or gone in the opposite direction and ran through Starr and Ali in quicker fashion. Unfortunately, the Lucha Brothers did neither.
