6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 24)

4. Papa Buck Bleeds

Set up last week when MJF and Chris Jericho got into it with The Young Bucks' parents at ringside, the Inner Circle duo's bloodying of Papa Buck was tremendous television fare.

The Bucks hit the ring to stop the rest of the Inner Circle from beating their friend, Brandon Cutler, to a pulp. Matt got on the mic, demanding Jericho and MJF hit the ring, when we cut to somewhere backstage. Lying beaten and bloodied before the Jackson brothers' brand truck was a plasma-coated Papa B. In a move reminiscent of Jericho trapping Nick beneath a shutter door last year, Le Champion and The Salt of the Earth had messed the old man up.

"Does this belong to you?!" asked Jericho, revealing the Bucks' beaten father. He and MJF talked smack on the old fella before popping the Young Bucks' pose and hitting the bricks. Later, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows helped the Jacksons load Papa Buck onto the ambulance, keeping that storyline going as well.

Brutal stuff, and the kind of gangland warfare the Inner Circle has often missed since Jericho lost the World Title. Between this, the last entry, and the next, Dynamite did a great job of building pay-per-view heat.
