6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash (Dec 27 - Results & Review)

Ups...

6. Change, Change, Change!

Skye Blue Julia Hart
AEW

Skye Blue recently morphed into a darker character who was corrupted by Julia Hart's witchy influence, and it seems more change is coming in the women's division. That's not really a bad thing either, 'cause Kris Statlander badly needs something to chew on following a mundane TBS Title reign.

Stokely Hathaway is here to provide a solution.

The slick-talking manager did guest commentary on Stat's match vs. Skye on Wednesday, and Stokely suggested he's the man to bring something extra out of Kris in the long run. That'll be fun to see. The actual match between Blue and Statlander was a blast too - even the annoying pic-in-pic ad interruption couldn't halt their momentum.

Go out of your way to see Skye's insane looking Code Blue off the ropes in the corner too. That was one hell of a finish, one that sells just how menacing the previously-charming Blue has become now she's next to Julia. Good stuff all round here.
